Senior lost 1-4 to Boscosants FS B this Saturday 24 October (7:45 pm) at the Jaume Viñas Pi Municipal Pavilion, on matchday four of the Second Catalan Division, against the group's unbeaten leaders.
The team started with a mid-court defence, trying to control the spaces. However, the opponents went two goals up, which forced a change of plan and a switch to a high press.
From that moment on, the team stepped up and controlled much of the match, making it hard for the opponents to play out from the back and showing a better version of themselves both in the press and in their build-up play.
Yet after the first third of the game, the lack of efficiency in turning that dominance into goals began to breed haste and anxiety. That prevented the team from finding the continuity needed to cut the deficit.
In the final six minutes, the team switched to the five-out (playing with five outfield players), putting the practised plays into action to try to change the result. The strategy produced Marc López Cerdans' goal (39'), but it also carried risks that the opponents exploited to score the final 1-4.
Senior are still without a point, but the coaching staff value the reaction and the control of the game after going 0-2 down. The challenge now is to turn that dominance into goals.
